Biodynamics workshop #1 workshop in Wild West Organics Waimauku. Open to Whānau – Family Friendly.
20 September 2026 – 10am – 1pm in Waimauku (address on application)
Biodynamics for Tamariki & Whānau
Biodynamics offers a holistic way of growing that works alongside nature’s rhythms – a beautiful approach for whānau to explore together in the garden. Using biodynamic “preparations” (nine soil remedies made from plants and minerals), we help build rich soil and thriving, balanced ecosystems that tamariki can see, touch, and understand. This workshop is a fun, hands-on introduction to biodynamics for the whole whānau. We’ll cover the main ideas in simple, accessible ways, and share easy first steps for bringing biodynamics into your own garden at home. Tamariki and adults alike will get stuck in making a Biodynamic Tree Paste, a natural mix used to seal pruning cuts and keep fruit trees healthy. It’s a great sensory activity for little hands!
Bring a jar if you’d like to take some tree paste home to use in your own garden.
Come dressed for the outdoors — part of this workshop happens outside, so wear clothes (and bring gloves) that can get dirty.
We’ll be handling cow manure, so gumboots are a good idea too!Hot drinks and afternoon tea provided for the grown-ups — and something yummy for the tamariki too.
