Ever wanted to learn how DJs mix tracks and create a vibe? Join Kaiwaka-based DJ Damo for a hands-on intro to the art of DJing. With over 10 years’ experience across Northland and beyond, and a background in New Zealand’s online radio scene, Damo brings a wealth of knowledge and a seriously good ear for music.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of beat matching, understanding a 4×4 beat structure, and how to mix two tracks together. It’s a relaxed, beginner-friendly session designed to spark interest and build confidence to keep practising.
We’d love to see students young and old to get involved!
No experience needed – just bring your curiosity and love of music.
