Unplugged Lounge: A Place to Slow Down

Life can be busy, noisy and full of distractions, which is why we’re excited to introduce Unplugged Lounge – a new weekly community space designed for anyone looking to slow down and enjoy a quieter evening.

Running every Tuesday during Term 3 from 5:30–8:00pm at the Warkworth Bridge Club (next to Warkworth Town Hall), Unplugged Lounge is a relaxed, screen-free space where you can read, work on a craft project, journal, do a puzzle, or simply enjoy a cup of tea in a calm and welcoming environment.

Bring along your current book, knitting, crochet, colouring or any creative project you’re working on, or borrow from our small selection of books and craft supplies if you don’t have anything to bring. There are tables, bean bags, hot drinks and cookies, and you’re welcome to drop in for as little or as long as you’d like.

Open to all ages, Unplugged Lounge is about creating space to pause, recharge and enjoy a little quiet time alongside others—without the pressure to socialise or be constantly connected.

This free community initiative is supported by Warkworth War Memorial Library and the Rodney Community Team, thanks to funding from the Rodney Local Board.

Take some time to unplug, unwind and recharge. Join us any Tuesday during Term 3—we’d love to welcome you. Free entry, all ages welcome.
