Making space for connection

For six weeks, I hosted weekly casual, lunchtime get togethers where groups and locals could connect and enjoy a hot meal together. The idea is now going to be replicated by my colleague, Kyra who is Community Facilitator for Kumeū and surrounds. It will be interesting to hear how the community there responds to it.

I am now working on some exciting projects including supporting an upcoming Pasifika Festival this summer, establishing a monthly women’s get together called She Connects (based off a version currently running in Warkworth) and a series of free Give-it-a-go classes which might include activities such as Creative writing, woodworking and sewing.
