Introducing Kyra: Your Community Facilitator for Kumeū & Surrounds

I’m the Kumeu area Community Facilitator, I reside in Bethells Beach and have spent the past decade living and working in the Northwest. Originally from Canada, I have experience working with non-profits to build sustainable communities, serving as a community cooking and teaching gardens coordinator.

As a community facilitator, I’m here to support our community by working alongside local groups, clubs, and passionate individuals who want to bring their ideas to life. It could be expanding on something you’re already doing for the community or starting something completely new.

Our focus is connecting neighbours, fostering play and creativity and improving our shared community spaces. Feel free to bring your ideas and aspirations for our community!

Join us for an arts festival and community open day! Experience a variety of art-based activities completely free of charge. Bring your family and Whānau for a fun, unique, and educational experience suitable for all ages.
