A beginner friendly give it a go skate session for people with disabilities or additional needs wanting to try skateboarding in a safe welcoming
space.

These adaptive skateboarding sessions are proudly supported by the Rodney Community team thanks to Rodney Local Board.
Participants will join a small-group adaptive skateboarding session of up to 45 minutes. Group sizes are intentionally kept small to allow for personalised support, skill development, and a relaxed, inclusive environment. Our Founder and Lead Coach, Sarinah Hurford, provides adaptive skateboarding coaching and support tailored to each participant’s individual needs. Sarinah has been coaching skateboarding for over nine years and has spent the past year developing and delivering adaptive skateboarding programmes in partnership with organisations supporting people with disabilities and additional needs.

IS THIS THE RIGHT FIT?
These sessions are currently best suited to participants who are able to stand and participate in skateboarding activities, either independently or with support if needed.
