She Connects July: Staying Steady When Life Feels Full
with local Health Psychologist Laura McAlpine
📅 Friday 25 July
🕕 6:00pm–8:00pm
📍 Shoesmith Hall
Life can feel overwhelming when you’re juggling work, family, relationships, responsibilities, and everything in between. Join us for an evening of connection, learning, and practical tools designed to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more grounded.
Local Health Psychologist Laura McAlpine will lead an interactive workshop exploring how stress affects our nervous systems, why so many women find themselves stuck in survival mode, and how we can move from self-criticism towards greater self-compassion. Together, we’ll also look at creating a realistic wellbeing plan that works in real life—not just on paper.
This workshop is designed to be engaging, supportive, and practical, with opportunities to connect with other local women and leave feeling empowered with strategies you can use straight away.
💜 This month, we’re proud to be supporting Hestia Women’s Refuge as part of their Winter Paint the Town Purple campaign. Ticket donations from this event will go towards supporting their work in our community. We’ll also hear briefly from Hestia ambassador Matilda Green about the services they provide and the difference they make for women and families across our region. To show your support, we’d love you to wear something purple on the night.
☕ Snacks and drinks included.
Come along on your own or bring a friend—everyone is welcome.
