Introducing Arwen: Your Community Facilitator for Helensville & South Kaipara

I have lived in Helensville for 14 years with my two children, and worked with local people and groups, and I’m passionate about making Rodney an even better place to live. As part of a new team of five Community Facilitators for the wider Rodney area, my aim is to collaborate with you to help support this wonderful rural community of ours. 

I am available to help individuals, groups, and businesses to come together and develop initiatives, put on events, and deliver programmes for our area. I’ll be focusing on fun play and recreation activities for all ages and abilities, as well as supporting creativity, learning, culture, and events. I also look forward to improving our community spaces so they are relaxing and welcoming social places for us all to use.

I’m keen to hear your thoughts and ideas for creating opportunities and building on relationships that strengthen and support our vibrant community. I’ll be based in the Council meeting room, next to the Library at 49 Commercial Rd, every Thursday from 10am to 2pm. Please pop in for a chat or just to say hello.
