There is a fun new addition beside the skate ramp in Warkworth — a permanent table tennis table is now installed and ready for the community to enjoy.
This is a great new local asset for people of all ages, whether you are heading down with friends after school, taking a break during the workday, or looking for something free and easy to do with the whānau.
To make it even easier to have a go, locals can borrow table tennis bats and balls from the One Mahurangi Information Centre and Warkworth Library. Please remember to return the equipment after use so others can enjoy a game too. You are also welcome to bring your own bats and balls.
This initiative is designed to improve access to play and recreation opportunities and is in a great location for local young people, next to the skate ramp and close to the Library and bus stop.
The new table has been made possible thanks to the support of the Rodney Local Board, helping create more opportunities for connection, play, and low-cost recreation in the heart of Warkworth.
